Art Acquisition Policy
- Art accepted into the library collection intends to emphasize the works of artists whose works have received recognition in professional juried shows.
- Preferably, all art acquired should be framed.
- All art and framing selected for inclusion in the permanent library collection must be approved by an art selection committee appointed by the Library Board of Trustees.
- All art accepted into ownership by the library is subject to be exhibited in areas selected by the library; it may be rotated to any other Pender library for exhibit, may be placed in storage temporarily while other works are displayed, and/or loaned at the discretion of the Library Board.
- All art acquired for the library through private contributions shall belong to the library and cannot be removed from the permanent collection without the approval of the Board of Trustees.
