Library Card & Services

Free to residents, county property owners, or persons employed in county. By agreement with the following counties, free library cards are also available to residents of Duplin, Sampson, Bladen, and Columbus counties. Cards are available to all others for $25.00/yr. There is a $3.00 replacement charge for lost, damaged cards.

Each applicant must provide identification, completing an application process.Children under age 18 are encouraged to get a library card. We require the signature of an adult (with valid ID), who will be financially responsible for all materials borrowed. (You agree to: accept responsibility for my child's use of the library. I will help my child abide by its rules. I will pay fines charged to my child. I will immediately report the loss of my library card. I will give prompt notice of any change of application information).As a new patron you will be limited to two books on your first visit.


Information assistance in-house and by phone, children`s story times, wireless internet service, public access Internet with free access to information databases, NC job database, photocopiers, tax forms, meeting and conference rooms, performing arts programs such as musicians and storytellers.

Friends of the Library Groups:

The Friends of the Library support the library by raising funds for additional materials (such as books, audiotapes, videotapes) and equipment (such as computers). They also fund special programs such as our spectacular Summer Performance Series for children. They welcome your participation. Become a Friend by making a contribution.
